How are funds raised?

Each time a retailer or vendor listed on PatrioticPurchase.com is reached through this web site, and a purchase is made, an “affiliate fee” is paid by the merchant or service provider.


Do the products on PatrioticPurchase.com cost the same as if I were going directly to the merchant’s site?

Yes.  The products or services are the same price.  No additional charge is added in any way by the merchants or vendors.


Why do I have to start my shopping at PatrioticPurchase.com?

The merchants listed on this website have agreed to pay a commission for all purchases made through PatrioticPurchase.com.  For the merchants to know PatrioticPurchase.com is sending you, the customer, to their site, you must first log onto PatrioticPurchase.com and then click on their website icon.


Are the funds I generate tax deductible?

No.  The IRS limits tax deductibility for charitable contributions to the amount paid over and above the fair market price for an item.  Since the prices you pay when buying from the retailers at our site are the same as if you purchased directly from the merchant, no tax deductible event occurs.


How do I know my credit card information is being protected when making a purchase?

There are two ways to tell if you are interacting with a secure server.  The URL in your browser window begins with https instead of http and a small lock icon appears in the bottom right of your window frame.  All of your payments will be going through the retailer you have chosen.  No purchaser ever makes a payment directly to PatrioticPurchase.com.  


Can I return purchased items?

Each merchant has a customer service web page that describes their return policy.  Please view their customer service page for information.  No returns are ever accepted by or made through PatrioticPurchase.com.


I currently purchase through igive.com shopping window.  Can I uninstall igive?

Yes.  Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel.  Double click “Add/Remove Programs”.  Click “iGive Shopping Window”, then “Remove”.  Click “Top Moxie”, then click Remove.
